    Athlete in training

Im a 16 year old football player. I just recovered from being sick , which has made me loose about 15 pounds (dropped from 155 lbs to 140 lbs). Football training starts late August and i was looking to be a solid 165lbs - 170lbs by then . I was thinking about taking creatine to build up my mass. Any ideas or thoughts on a routine/program i should have?

Well at 16 you should be doing compound lifts: Bench, Deadlift, Squats, Overhead presses, and things of that nature. The most common I have heard of in football programs to build strength is alot of 5x5.

read the stickies at the top of this page for training (as you're going for sports i'll suggest CowPimp's and P-funks stickies) and check out the diet and nutrition forums for weight gaining advice, as gaining mass is mostly about diet.
