Rep scheme and % of 1RM

how do you figure out what % of your 1RM to use when using different loading parameters.

    for example
    Loading Parameters A: 2 x 5, 2 x 4, 1 x 3, 1 x 2

how would you go about finding the correct weight to use on all sets if i wanted to use a constant weight. (strength training)

    100%= 1RM
    95%= 2RM
    90%= 4RM
    85%= 6RM
    80%= 8RM
    75%= 10RM
    70%= 12RM
    62%= 15RM

If you are looking for constant weight for all sets I would look 2.5-5% lower then the number you are looking to hit. So, 3sets of 10 you would want to use 70-72% (your 11-12RM).

Personally, that wouldn't work well for me. I know that after my first set or two my numbers go down quick. I usually have to take more than 5% off to continue lifting the same number of repetitions unless I use longer rest intervals.

yea, it will vary from person to person. Also, the rep calculator is not 100% accurate and the further from your 1RM you go the greater margin of error there is. Use it as a guide to get a ballpark number and then feel your way from there.
