    Weight went down?

I have been following gopro's P/RR for my training routine. And I found that in some instances on my second time round the P week, my numbers actually went down... I don't understand, I have been following his instructions religiously. I take the Elite Mass Stack by BSN and eat a pretty healthy diet for the most part. Could this be due to not using enough weight or could it be diet induced? I admit I did drink on the weekend but who knows. Any suggestions would be great as to why this happened.

gopro's routine sucks IMO, but it probably had to do with not enough sleep/food

Now that you mention it, I don't get a good enough night's sleep. I have really rough sleeping patterns. Thanks

Could be a fluke, could be related to the drinking, could be the lack of sleep, could be an inadequate intake of good food that day, or it could be that you have started to overreach a little bit and you might need some time off. There are other possibilities, but don't fret over it. Just don't be afraid to take a break if you need it.

Like CP stated there could be a lot of factors involved. Now if it happens two times in a row, you need to look at your diet probably more then anything.

I don't go on this sleep thing. I don't get good sleep at all and sometimes only a few hrs a night. There's a lot of people with sleep problems who still train and get stronger as they go. I'm one of them. I have my off days just like anyone, but have more stronger days the off one's.

Because he didn't really do it. He did some half-ass variation that included gopro's routine mixed in with his own "judgment."

Plus, he has zero pics in his gallery. Who knows if anything has ever "worked" for him.

I said IMO, why are you being an asshole, the reason I don't like it is because it is too much arm isolation, and it is body-part training, I like the Power/Rep-range/Shock idea, but that type of routine sucks IMO, I don't get it, his routine is against what most of the other respected mods say here, but he is so respected

Cowpimp: How can you say that, when it is body-part training, and too much isolation arm work?
Just the other day, you were saying that you should not consider CG Bench a tricep exercise, look under gopros routine, he has CG Bench under triceps.
I came here, and read and understood why body-part training is absolutely stupid, and now your saying that his program(wich is body-part training) is a good program

I want to here what p-funk thinks.

look at these quotes in one of the stickies:
The body doesn't know muscles. It only knows movements."

    -Mel Siff

"If you are still training body parts and not movements, you have missed a signifigant amount of information written on the subject of resistance training in the past 10 years."

    -Mike Boyle

and then there is another sticky(Gopros) that is the opposite, way to confuse the readers

"The following will provide a "template" for you to work with, but each individual can "tweak" the program slightly (exercises used, workout split, days per week training) to fit precisely to their needs. Just as long as the basic principles and premise is followed, you should be able to reap the full muscle building benefits of the program." - Gopro

The thing is, most of the mods here are smart enough to figure out how to modify this program to suit their needs. You my friend, are not. You complain that it "sucks," but then add that you didn't sleep or eat enough for it to really be effective. If you had read the other stickies, you may have learned that diet and sleep are just as important as a weight training program.

Just because Gopro chooses to work out his arms more than others would like to, doesn't make his program "sucky."

Smart people sometimes have opinions that contradict each other. The difference between a smart person and a stupid person is that a stupid person will be quick to call someone else's idea "sucky" when they haven't even given it a fair chance. The smart person will try to find out what's really going on, instead of whining like a little bitch.

Please only post here if it will help us learn more, or will entertain us. And please, please don't post here if you don't know WTF you are talking about.

I wasn't talking to the original poster. I was talking to you. That is why I quoted you and responded to what you said, not the original poster.

Oh ok, I misunderstood what you said. It seemed like you were hating on Gopro's program, yet admitting that you didn't eat or sleep enough. Sorry, my fault.

I still stand by the rest of my post.

Then you don't know how to read, I never complained that it sucked, and I never said I didn't sleep or eat enough. I know that rest and nutrition are just as important as training. I was giving an answer to the original poster, and somehow you think that I didn't sleep or eat enough. Go take some reading classes.

As far as the original poster...like others have said...you may need more rest, you may be burned out...you may need to drop the frequency of training or some volume in order to meet your own individual recovery needs. the program can be tweaked.

as far as teh program sucking....well...I don't know, I actually think it is pretty good. I have never done it myself since it really doesn't go along with what my goals are but I think on paper it looks pretty good and in "real world" instances, it has worked for a lot of people.

Mike456.....I am not a big fan of body part training. But, that doesn't mean it is entirely worthless or that it can't be used. As Louie Simmons once said, "everythign works but nothing works forever.". Maybe the original poster needs to change his program and 'shake it up' a bit. There is a time and place for everything. I think he can get away with the 4 day a week split like this if he manages the volume (which gopro does). In general, the program looks fine to me.

P-funk- I think people get results from it, because of the rep changing, but don't you think the routine/exercises are bad, maybe if he did the whole power/rr/shock with an upper lower or a push pull legs routine it would be alot better, and make alot more sense, there is two stickies, and they say the opposite things- it just doesn't make sense to me.

PS- I did not think you would say the routine is good at all, Im surprised
