Currently doing push/legs/pull and my goals are to add size. I am thinking about switching to upper/lower or fullbody. I believe with that type of split I will be better able to assess what volume/intensity/recovery time is optimal for me. Just gotta eat more, that's the hardest part for me.

I kind of like upper-lower splits, but total body workouts are great too. I need to get myself into doing some total body shit again.

Upper/Lowers are fun. I was going to start doing 2 a days with upper in the morn and lower at night 3x a week, but it seems I'm busier and more tired than I thought I would be.

I think total body is the way to go if you are interested in just basic conditioning. Thats where I'm at right now.

I am actually considering trying a full body 3 times a week. I mean 3 times a week is better for growth then 1-2 times right?

I wouldn't want to train all muscles 3 times a week, If you want to train lower and upper 3 times a week, try this

    Day 1- Total Body Push
    Day 2- Total Body Pull
    Day 3- Off
    Day 4- Off
    Day 5- Total Body
    Day 6- Off
    Day 7- Off

would cross bench pullovers count as a pull? It works all the big muscles in the upperbody.

I think most people have the ability to recover from 3 full body sessions each week so long as they are periodized properly.

I think that's over the top for your average trainee, but give it a go. He claims it has worked with a bunch of clients.
