i agree to this but the problem is , it's crowded here in egypt in rush hours and too many cars and polution so it'll be very hard to find a place to run , also i'll be sometimes lazy to drive to the club to run for 30 minutes ....so i'm probably gonna buy a machine but not a bike cause i wanna get something that works the entire body and burns the most calories....any ideas ??

i say save your money. you don't need cardio equiptment to do cardio.

Do tabatas (20sec of work:10sec of rest) with things like squat thrusts, BW squats, push ups, sit ups, jumping jacks, running in place, step ups, calf raises, jump rope, etc....pretty much anything you can think of.

That's what I do, sort of. I usually do about 120sec work:40sec set. Kicks my ass pretty good, and it's far less boring than traditional cardio.
The only time it's bad to feel the burn is when you're peeing...

It has to be something you like to do otherwise it will be a waste of money.
Do you even like to run?

The best cardio machine is the one that won't be used as a coathanger. Most surveys say the treadmill is the most likely to get used regularly so if I had to pick one I'd say get that. I have one but i don't use it though I know I should for heart health.

so do u think tread mill would replace running ? i believe it'sexpensive and it may be a waste of money but if it'll get me the same benefits of running so it won't be a waste though ...... what do u think ??

tabata is just the name for the protocol which is 20sec of work and then only 10sec of rest.

so you would do something all out for 20 sec (sprint, or jumping jacks, or jump rope, or squat thrusts, etc..) and then rest 10sec and then repeat the exrecise or do differemt exercises (like a circuit of exercises). After about 6 or 7 rounds you will be ready to shit yourself.

Definitely throw in at least a couple of jump rope days now and then, it is an amazing workout. Do anything to get your heart rate up, jump rope, jumping jacks, sprints back and forth, etc. Running is great too.
