    Cardio For Females

    The background:
My girlfriend wants to start varying her cardio. Currently she's on a fullbody workout two (2) to three (3) times per week and is doing a moderately paced long cardio session (30-40 mins) once a week and a HIIT (currently 30s on - 30 s off for up to 5 mins) session once per week.

    The issue:
She's got DD breasts, and apparently, the sports bras don't really work properly, or so she claims, and about the only thing she can come up with for cardio is lower impact things, viz; bike riding, rowing, or those dodgy ski elliptical machine thingos.

    The question:
To keep her from complete and utter boredom - wtf else is there in the lower impact variety of cardio? What do the rest of the girls do on this site for cardio and does it hurt as much as she claims?

(Feel free to flame me all you want - but it's a serious question)

    elliptical is low impact.

the stepper is low impact (well, no impact....not the stair mill though).

the UBE is no impact also.

I checked with her on the stepper and she reckons that either she puts it on a lower resistance and she's all over the place or she puts it on a higher resistance and her legs fatigue before she can get her heart rate up.

To be honest I think half of her issues are in her mind. But until I grow breasts and start jumping around I'll never really know for sure.

    What's a UBE?

Ah - I've always called those things doggy paddle machines - because you look like you're a 3 yr old doing doggy paddle in the pool when using them the way your arms move around.

But that's a damn good idea.

    Thanks P.

    Good call. Rowing is great.

I would have her do jumping jacks. It's not really going to solve the problem, but, well, nevermind...
