another question about pull ups..
......if your shoulders are sore after a push session would you have a problem with pull ups on the next day ? are the shoulders involved in the pull/chinups?? i feel that they are much harder to me when my shoulders are sore.....

The anterior delts aren't involved with pullups. Maybe you should just put a day of rest in between the two sessions?

I seem to get better strength gains when i train with DB bench. I much prefer it to BB bench for some reason.
I guess a part of it is that i know if i cant get the weight up and am in a bit of trouble, its a lot easier to get rid of the DBs rather than a BB. Makes me more inclined to push myself harder. But obviously, that has nothing to do with the topic. If your chest gets hit in pullups, does it help to keep the chest out of the movement if you dont 'lean' as far backwards? |

Ive always liked DB flat bench more than BB and it might be cuz of the fear of getting caught underneath the bar, who knows? Only problem with DBs that will forever haunt anyone is its own limits. I repped 125lbs at my gym on Sunday. Next ones we have are 135lbs and 150lbs, nothing in between. |
