Pain in Hand Doing Dips
i was on the dips machine and when i pressed down i felt a sharp, shooting pain in my hand that went up through my pinky finger. the pain felt like it was heating up as i was at the bottom of the movement. what could this possibly be? when i changed the position of my hands relative to the handles, i didn't feel the pain anymore.

I had something like that happen to me about a month ago when doing seated good mornings. I widened my grip to finish off the set, and it hasn't bothered me since. I think it was some kind of cramping for me after abusing the shit out of my grip that session, but it's hard to say if your situation was the same...

Doesn't have something to do with pinching of the nerve in the elbow? I have had some of the same feeling doing weighted dips, and the only conclusion I can come up with is nerve tension.
