    Cool REPS and SETS

Well, thanx to all those who helped, i was able to do my first ever wide-arm pull-up! So now, to increase my maximum. What would be the perfect REPS and SETS to start off with?

Wait wait, your 1RM is one wide grip pullup? Then what are your capabilities when you narrow your grip?

Cuz if you can only do 1 full wide-grip pullup and thats it, then youre not going to be able to setup much of a wide-grip pullup plan.

Unless your body responds well to rest and you can do what, another 2 WG pull ups?

Just keep doing what you were doing to get that 1 wide grip pull-up.
I remember we told you negatives or assisted. Wich 1 did you go with?
Stay in the 1-5 rep range and do about 4 sets since you need more strength for the wide grip pull-ups.

What did you do to get yourself that pullup capability in the first place? I would say continue doing the same thing but continue to progress.

i would do wide grip pull down w/ a lat bar and move the weight up until you reach your bodyweight...then move to the fixed bar.

ok. Apparently i am in Dragonboat. And the seniors there will tell us to do like 3 sets of 8 reps. Is it reasonable or should i do more?

How long have you been resistance training? Are you eating enough calories for mass gains?

^ The questions I want answered are:
    1. WTF is dragonboat?
    2. How come you're not sure you were there?
    3. How come you're talking about dragonboat like people are meant to know what it is?
    4. Or am I meant to know what it is and I'm just lamer than I originally thought?

Dragonboat is now some kind of international sport where 10 or 20 men rows a boat for a distance. The are many rowing methods. For my varsity, we mae use of our back muscles, hence we have to do pull ups. It is becoming a popular sport now... Many countries have dragonboat clubs now.
