Why do you feel you are going too light? Are you doing 12 reps and not even feeling tired?

I was somewhat in the same shoes, but for the past several months or so I really stepped it up, cut my resting periods down between sets, started doing olympic lifts which really tire me out, started going heavier on the deadlifts. My point is that when I train i leave out everything around me it's all i focus on. Just get more intense, u feel u goin too light? add some weight dont be a bitch, always try to set new records always try to perform better then u did last week, keep track of that shit and you'll get your results. I realised theres 2 options; to cry about it or do some about it. its ur pick dudeOriginally Posted by Andy_Massaro

Why are you disatisfied? The weights? Don't feel you're working hard enough? Something else entirely?

maybe you ARE going too light.
why do you think the problem lies elsewhere?
Do every set till failure, you can't expect much more than that. In other words there's no doubt you lifeted hard if you go to falure on each set and do at least 3 sets per movement.

i dunno what the problem is.. i think its just that i am weaker than i think so even when i up the weight, im still not satisfied with myself because i know that i cant do the weight..
i think i just need to take things slower and try every set to failure..
the only thing im proud of is yesterday on bench, i did about 3 reps and then a few more with spot of my previous one rep max..

now that's sht right there, i used to do that with a friend when i first started lifting and had no gains whatsoever following his lameass routine of bench 3X a week curl 5times a week, no fuckin leg work, im done with that path buddy
well we do good workouts, our split is like
legs 2 times a week
shoulders & tri's
back & traps
chest & bis
but i think i would see better gains and stuff if i was on a more strict routine..
i dunno i get my license in august so i was just going to wait until then to make my own routine
