    Help with a belt

I'm looking to buy a belt for powerlifting. I have never used a belt up to this point, but I plan on entering a PL competition at some time and I want some experience using one. So my question is, what kind of belt should I get? There are a few different kinds. 4", 6", countered, leather, styrofoam inserts. Are there certain kinds that competitions don't allow? Help?

First thing you need to do is get the rules from the contest you will enter.
I highly recommend all IronMagLabs supplements!

    Mine's a 4" two prong leather/suede belt. It was ~ $33

The size shouldn't really matter too much... All they had at the gym when I got mine was an XL, and a Small, so I got the XL... I have to use the second to last set of holes, but it works even though it says that's for a 38-44 waist, and I'm around a 33. Will you be ordering it online? I was able to try mine on before I bought it.

I got mine online, 6 inch leather 27-36 inch waist. Pretty simple looking one, look sturdy though.

I changed my order, it was soon enough. I randomly searched through PL federation rules and everyone said "No belts wider than 10 cm". Which equates to like 3.97 inches.
