    High reps vs. Low reps

    after reading that men's health article i decided to alternate between high reps( about 15)....and what i usually do( about 7 reps). i did high reps today and my body is completely worn out. why is it i feel more worn out doing high reps with less weight than when i work heavier with less reps? i go to failure on both but feel more drained with high reps

    Someone correct me if I'm wrong....but when you double reps performed...you are doubling the volume.

    but not the intensity, IMO if your doing sets of 3 then EVERY rep is hard, when you're doing sets of 12, the first 6 or so are easy, and (at least for me) rep #10 isn't as hard as rep #1 when doing triples. Just a thought.

    Metabolic activity during higher rep training is higher. It also increases the amount of work and volume you are doing and raises cardiovascular demand.
    The only time it's bad to feel the burn is when you're peeing...
