In my job I have shifts that mean i need to get up at 3 am for a week at a time. Not being a great sleeper, i seldom get more than 2-4 hours a night, all things tried. By the time i'm finished work i'm absolutely knackerd, but I still hit the gym for a full body workout 3 x a week.
Question is, what is the effect of almost sleep depravation on training despite the obvious lethargy which i force myself passed? I can usually manage what i can when i have slept, but wondered on the effects of this?
I take it won't recover or grow aswell, what other factors would this affect?![]()

You'll be sore for a long long time without your night time sleep. Try to sleep even earlier or sleep during the day. Or just do a full body workout on friday and sleep in during the weekends.

It is going to affect your recovery. If you find that you are having trouble recovering from your resistance training workouts then adjust accordingly.
The only time it's bad to feel the burn is when you're peeing...
