if you think your ankle tendons can support it, by all means go for it. I simply wont do it, I insist on wearing shoes that go above my ankles on leg days. Thats because I ruined my ankles in football, but you dont need to if you think you dont.
Today at the gym i saw some guy doing calf raises with his shoes off, i gave it a go and found i got greater range of motion and the entire movement felt much smoother and hit my calves more intensley. Whats your opinion on shoes off calf raises? I imagine there would be dangers involved, if so could you please explain them to me?

well, i workout barefoot. and although i don't do calf raises, i can tell you that working out barefoot is 100x better than with shoes on.
