that sucks. why did you move out?
As some of you may know I was moving out of my house wich I trained at (with a bench/weights, etc.), I was told the community that I go to has a gym, wich has weights, well I made the move yesterday, with all the furniture etc., I walk into the gym, and I broke down Inside.
This is what they have:
2 fucking treadmills
3 fucking stationary bikes
1 shitty workout machine
There is not one dumbbell/bar/weight plate in the fucking gym.![]()
Now I am in a small ass apartment wich I have no place to put weights/etc.
The fucking community is cut off from any stores, etc. and I do not have a car/license (I am 15).
So basicall my only options is to workout with a mahine or don't workout at all.![]()
I came back home today to pick-up some more furniture, Hopefully I will be able to bring a weight bar and some weights.
You can put two adjustable DB's in any size apt, and even a bench....just keep it in the closet or put it off to the side when not in use.
Whay at 15 are you moving into your own apt???

I am moving into an apartment with my dad because he got a job in the area.
The whole time I was so excited to see the gym, and then I walked into that piece of shit room.
oic lol...take some db's and barbells and like he said above, a bench can fit in a closet or just store it outta the wayOriginally Posted by mike456
Do some of that hardcore Rocky Balboa workouts where you push heavy ass furniture around.
Good Day

You sure there is no other gym around?
Are you living by yourself at the age of 15 and if so WHY?Originally Posted by mike456
Stick to bodyweight exercises. There is a decent amount you can do with them. See if your dad will buy you a weighted vest and a pullup bar and make the most of what you have. There are vests that goto 100 pounds out there.

The place is completely cut off, to get around you need a car, but the community has some pretty cool stuff: tennis, volleyball, basketball courts, pool, lake, pool table, sauna, shitty gymOriginally Posted by fufu

lol. I was moving the furniture yesterday, but my shoulders, elbows, knees, lower back were hurting after.Originally Posted by 911=InsideJob

To do anything where I live you have to have a car. I have access to a "decent" gym with a car, but I'd have to drive 45 minutes to get to an actual gym. Tennis is good though.Originally Posted by mike456

You still have options Mike. Besides the obvious like swimming + basketball you could do stairs. What floor are you on? You can do a lot even without your bench. Pushups, dips between chairs, pullups and chins, db or bb rows RDL's, uni lateral clean and press, overhead presses basically everything you were doing before just get creative. At your weight pushups would be just as effective as bench press anyway. (I think you said your max bench was around 135 or something like that, right?)
If you have problems with your joints you should try to lane swim a few times a week. It's a great no impact cardio workout. Shit do some body weight squats in the shallow end of the pool and lane swim or just kick your legs while holding on to a flutter board. You could do dips by pulling yourself up out on the pool.![]()
Thanks alot for the options, but I talked to my dad and he said I could bring a bar and bench I brought a 25lb bar, 2 adjustable DB's, and about 170 lbs of platesOriginally Posted by Bakerboy

It is called Foxwoods.
Workouts with a set of dumbells.
DB: press, curls, tricep ext seated or lying, rows, squats and deads, SLDL, lunges hammer curls, press or incline ( need a bench or something like it for these), that's all I can think of right now. My adjustable DB's can hold 85lbs each....more than enough for most people.
