Arms

I am currently using a push/pull/leg split using gopros p/rr/shock template. I was just wondering how many bicep excercises i should have on pull day and how many tricep excercises on push day? All opinions welcome!

What the fuck do you mean by a bicep exercise or a tricep exercise!
Every compound push works the triceps, and every compund pull works the biceps!
And you should not have any fucking elbow isolation in your routine!
What is the point to put in a elbow isolation if you can add a compound press and work the tris including every other push muscle!- Same for biceps.
If you have any isolation in your push pull, it should never be elbow isolation because the bis and tris are the muscle that takes the biggest beating in a push pull, if you want some isolation put in some rear laterals or flys.
Sorry if I offend you these posts just get me pissed

Coming from the kid who knew nothing 3 months ago about lifting, and only quotes the stickies non-stop. People are different, and different things work for different people. Stop with the random flames. Bench over your body weight then talk.

You can learn alot in 3 months.

When the fuck do I quote the stickies.

You are an idot.

All of your lifts are probably fake anyway, I am probably the only teenager on here that tells the truth.

Your a fucking moron if you cant figure out im referring to bicep and tricep isolation excercises.

Every compound push works the triceps, and every compund pull works the biceps!
Thanks genius, but i already have this knowledge from 3 years of studying physiotherapy.

And you should not have any fucking elbow isolation in your routine! How do you isolate a joint? Fuckwit

What is the point to put in a elbow isolation if you can add a compound press and work the tris including every other push muscle!- Same for biceps. The point is obviously to isolate the arm muscles after sufficient compound movements have been performed

If you have any isolation in your push pull, it should never be elbow isolation because the bis and tris are the muscle that takes the biggest beating in a push pull, You obviously have little knowledge in excercise physiology.

if you want some isolation put in some rear laterals or flys.

[b]The purpose of this post was simply to see how much arm isolation work other members were doing and compare it to my own (1 excercise for bis and 1 for tris), i think you have issues if that pisses you off.

There is no need for agression. Why not simply state your opinion, "no I don't think arm isolation excercises are necessary" instead of wasting everybodys time by posting paragraphs of moronic garbage.

You have not offended me, simply wasted my time, just another member I will ignore from now on.

Thankyou to everyone else for your responses!]

Arm isolation (and no dips aren't "isolation", try doing skullcrushers with your bodyweight) can have a place in most any program.

oh and

"WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU MEAN TARGET THEM, ROWS WILL DO THE SAME THING FOR YOUR BIS AS CHIN-UPS
SAME WITH DIPS AS OVERHEAD PRESS/BENCH"

umm wrong.

Actually, probably not. I'm not going to defend my lifts over the internet. No point. Not every teenager is a skinny-fat loser who struggles to proove himself over the internet.

I don't get it. This can't be that hard Pass84. Why don't you go back and look at gopro's training and see what he recommends.

Isolation exercises have their purpose. If they fit into your program - use them. If they do not fit your program - do not use them. My only suggestions is not to over use them or make them the core exersices of your program.

Now as to the rest of the stuff being thrown in this thread (and other similar threads lately I might add) - my observation is that you do not have a lot of this flaming crap in the Steroid Forum where you must be 18 to post. Just my observaton and your mileage may vary.

Some people are just a little too vehement about their training beliefs. I thought I was bad, but I guess not as much as I thought.

It's good to be 'pro' compound movements, but I think some people take it a bit too far.

Its good to experiment with the odd isolation exercise every now and again to determine what effect it has and how it feels generally. Obviously compounds are the foundation, but you can have a few frills also.

I'll agree with you on that one. Isolation has it's place, just don't overdo it.
