    P-funk's 225/50 rep squat??

Who want's to see P attempt to squat 225lbs for 50 reps? Personally, I think his time at camp took the wind out of his sails. IM members do you think he can/ will do it or will he get crushed by the bar like a girly man.

I think he can do it if he puts his mind to it.

lol....I was training my high rep squats at camp but my lack of food there really hindered my chances of the 50 rep squat. I will try it one of these days. I know I can't do it now. I am down 5lbs from when I left for camp because the food was so bad. Energy is shit.

50x on squat would be 10x more exausting than 50x on bench.

You must not unload on squat much? I like dropping down to a 10-8-6 workout every now and then to unload.

does doing a set with 50 reps really do anything beneficial?
obviously muscle endurance but do you think that would be a good program ?

it is not a program as much as it is a 'gut check' and a test of mental strength.

Not if he trains for it. I think he has been doing higher rep squatting to prepare. Besides P has super human strength, all the Mods do. They can leap from high buildings and crush rocks with their bare hands. Squatting 225 50 times, no problem. Besides, it's not for us, mere mortals, to question.

If you can do 315 for 20 reps, you could do 225 for 50 right?
Im 20. 6'3'' 235 lbs. Want to get to 8% body fat, +315 bench, +500 squat, and reach a weight between 230-240.

Not necessarily. Predictions of what you are capable of regarding repetition maximums get foggier as you move down the intensity spectrum.

how about a sub 6min mile.

lets just get a list of some really good achievements here (things that possibly could be attainable if you really busted your ass for it. obviously not anything impossible like 2000lb squat or somethign stupid).

I would say yes, but it depends on your training. I did 365 for close to 20 and then trained a few weeks and did 225x50. I think the power didnt matter it was the rep work at 225 that made the difference.

High rep step-ups holding moderately heavy DB's would crazy hard. At 50 reps a side your heart would explode. Cow you seem to be the step-up king around these parts maybe you should try it. I don't know what you would use weight wise, you would need a killer grip.

At least with the run it would be over quick.

    For strength or endurance?

I'm the stepup king? Haha. I think the most I've ever used is like 135-155, something in there. Nothing spectacular. That was with a barbell.
