    Stamina Problems

I just started Cowpimps upper/lower split in the stickies. I am having problems getting the desired reps in the high rep low rest. For example, Overhead pressed 105 12x easy, then after the 30 seconds could only get about 8-9, then another 30 and got around 6-7. Do I have a stamina problem or should I just lower the weight? The first set I could have gotten 15, which is what the protocol states for rm.

Lower the weight till you can clear 12 for 3 sets. The first set always seems doable and then you're dying by the 3rd once the lactic acid sets in.

For my high rep days i do about 1 min.

30 Seconds is WAY too low IMO, especially if youre not conditioned for it.

yeah 30 sec RI is hard core. Start at like 60 sec and maybe knock off 5 secs every week.

It depends what your goal is. If you are looking for stamina, knock off the weight and slowly increase it. Going with 60 second RI is not going to get you better at doing 30 second RI, doing 30 second RI will.

Just lower it to a weight that you can get 3 sets of 12 with low rest with. It was just a sample routine though, you don't have to use 30 seconds rest intervals.

I used cowpimps for the upper lower for three weeks, and then i'm going to go to full body, just sick of push pull legs all the time.

Edit: Sorry for the double post.

I would defitently increase the rest intervals.
