But I like upper/lower splits more than body part splits.

doing a couple muscle groups a day with a rest once every muscle group has been worked

Eating a lot will bulk you up, and body part routines arent very good IMO. Too much oppertunity to overtrain.
Go with Upper/Lower and eateateat.

As already said, both can be effective with a good diet. However, I much prefer higher frequency programs. Theoretically, higher frequency programs should yield better results, and thus far empirically I am finding this to be true as well; a lot of people on these boards have had good success using higher frequency programs.
The only time it's bad to feel the burn is when you're peeing...
