Home gym modifications

Share your coolest tip or modification to that your have done to your home gym.

I have a funky one to get more out of your pullup bar.
All you need is a 2 foot pipe (a DB bar could work) and a climbing sling.
This is so simple it's almost funny but it will open you up to several new exercises. So all you do is loop the sling around the center of your pipe and the loop the other end of the sling around the center of your pullup bar.
* A note of caution. This works best if you have a squatting cage. I don't recomend modifying a door chin/ pull up bar because they can not handle too much weight.

Anyway. The convenient thing about this is that you can install it in seconds.
The way I have it installed the bar is 3' 4" of the floor which is a perfect hight for me (5'7").

So what can you do with this?

1. Inverted BW rows (one arm or two arm) (with your feet on the floor or raised on a box)
2. Supermans (with your feet on the floor or raised on a box)
3. Face pulls (one arm if you are strong enough)
4. Sissy squats (one are two legged)
5. Assited pistols one of my favorite excellent for learning if you are unable to do one normal pistol or if you just want to rep out (also great as a warm up)
6. BW overhead extentions

These are just a few ideas. The other great thing about this is you can throw the bar and sling into a backpack and go train in a park. I have done this many times, it's great.

Well since i dont have a dip station, i'll sometimes place one hand on a barbell (while on the bench hooks or whatever the hell they're called) and the other on the top of a small ladder i have.
And I could also do suppine rows on my bench by gripping on to the bb while its placed on the banch hooks and place my feet on the preacher rest (the comfortable thing u put ur arms on to do preacher curls) at the end of the bench.
Also i could take the preacher rest off so i could do rows with the preacher bar/handlebar so thats pretty cool.
