Use the deload week to max out. Bench Mon and Squat and Deadlift Thurs. Just do singles until you get your 1rm for those lifts.
I am taking a week off, but I will prolly do some cardio and stretches. I kinda have to cuz of my lower back.
Hey Tough, did I read back that you had lower back problems at one or more times? I do recall reading that doing Deads helped cure it, but mine were caused by deads, so I cant jump back into them. What did you do b4 You deadlifted again.

Wouldn't hurt to take the time off.
However, maybe a light week could be more beneficial...
Consider a "speed" week, where you participate in your new lifts (ie your new program) but in very light, controlled movements. Learn, or relearn, any movements that you will be introducing into the routine, so that when you come back you can really step it up.
And by light, I mean light. Like warmup weight light - just to practive movements and form.
