An ectomorph is considered naturally skinny with long limbs, small joints, small waist, narrow shoulders, fast metabolism and so forth.
A mesomorph usually has medium joint circumference, broad shoulders, is natually lean, muscular, strong .. aka "gentic freak".
My question is, could an ectomorph ever transform his body to the point where he could be a mesomorph despite all the characteristics he has? Because of the body structure and small limbs/joints, would he ever have a chance to get big enough to the point where he no longer looks like a "skinny" big kid by just gaining a lot of weight and staying lean throughout as well? People would never have assumed that he was an ectomorph if they met him for the first time ever? Or is there nothing you can do about it and you just have to live with what you have and do the best you can do to satisfy yourself with how you look?
I think what you're describing as a mesomorph is really an endomorph. Also shoulder width seems to me like it is independent of the 3 basic body types.... I see many ectomorphs with broad shoulders and mesomorph with narrow shoulders.
Body types are not necessarily just one type. That would be rediculous to expect with the billions of different people.
For me I show tendancies of endo-mesomorphic type.
I really don't think you can change your bodytype, as you will continue to show the same tendancies to muscle growth and body fat that you previously did. However you probably have characteristics of Meso-Ectomorphic.
