Yeah I get to workout and eat regularly scheduled meals and a nap is nice too...
How many hours are you getting on a regular right now??
Do you have any clients you really enjoy training?? Like ones that really let you test your knowledge out?
Right now I mostly just use a lot of full body routines or upper/lower splits just randomly swapping out different pushes and pulls etc...sometimes doing everything circuit style or 1 exercise at a time with short resting intervals....(any activity is great for most of these guys, you know what I mean?)
But now I've got a new client who's getting to train for free and I KNOW will be coming regularly, like he has 100 sessions paid for. He wants to build muscle, get stronger, leaner, all that shit. So now I'm going to get him hip to the exercises and form for the first month, then write out a real program, periodized and all, timing every rest interval...I'm really excited about this one...Thinkin about taking before pics wednesday.
I'm getting 30 hours a week right now before any people drop or cancel. Usually it's more like 25.
Yeah, I enjoy training most of my clients actually. One guy I was training doing a linear periodization type thing where I trained in blocks was doing really well. He had flareup of an old knee injury when he went water skiing with his brother though. He found out he has a slight tear in his miniscus, but he's doing rehab while he works with me and it's getting better. We are still training lower body with him, but he made exceptional progress. I got him to deadlift 305x4 after like 3 months of training. It was ridiculous. Granted, he's a pretty big guy, but I was still very happy with that.
I don't do anything particularly fancy with most clients. I generally use linear periodization because most of them are new to training, have never actually used a periodized program before, and aren't consistent enough to warrant a whole lot more. It seems to work pretty well. As they get more advanced I will definitely start including other forms of periodization into their programs.
Also, I generally use 3-4 exercise circuits or a superset. I also stick stretchin throughout their workout as a form of active rest; virtually everyone I train needs it bad. I also use full body workouts with most everyone, though I have one guy doing a push-pull-legs split right now because of the way his sessions are scheduled.
You'll have fun with that guy. If he purchased 100 sessions that probably means he's motivated, heh.
