My 65 year old mom can do pistols!

This just in. My Mom who is 65 years old just bashed out 3 pistols each leg! I was showing her how to do them, then she said I'll try a couple. In my mind I thought no way....they take a lot a balance and strength to do them properly... but was I ever wrong, she did them and really low too!
I guess I shouldn't be that surprised as she has always been fit- she bikes and runs all the time but damn, I still think it's pretty cool.

She likes cardio stuff but hates lifting weights so I am trying to get her into a fun BW park routine.
She was kind of surprised too. My jaw was on the floor when she did it. She smiled at me after and said "I think that's enough for now" and then she just laughed. We just went for a bike ride. I would hate to see what she could do if she trained with weights!

Haha, that's badass! Dude, your mom just did something 99% of gym meatheads will never do, and will never be able to do.

^ I doubt she would let me tape her. Well, she would let me tape her but if she knew I wanted to show the clip to the rest of the world I'm sure she would say no.

I dunno if I can do them with my arms out at the sides, but I can do them with my arms in front of me. Try it like that.

I started out by doing modified pistols with your leg held out behind you. Those are a lot easier. For a lot of people the reason why they can't do them isn't because they are not strong enough, it's more of a balance/ flexibility issue.

I can do about 6 or 7 just like the guy in that photo on each leg. A granda doing em? Holy fucking shit! 95% of the people (maybe even less) can't even do one... in my age group!

Yup, like push-ups with 1 hand.

    Still very impressive though.

Wow shit man, I can't do 1 of these things to save my life. When I bend down it puts a hella lot of pressure on my knee of the supporting leg, perhaps I might be better after a lay-off from training and my conditioning is better.
Cow Pimp - If you don't train your legs you're a dumbfuck. I'm not going to elaborate on why. If it isn't obvious to you, then you deserve the marginal results that you get and hideously unbalanced/injury prone physique that you will build.
