yeah, i usually do shrugs for higher reps, like at least 12. I just figured i'd stick with the power scheme and do them for 6. Next time I'll just keep them higher rep.

IMO you should drop p/p/l go with a higher frequency program like upper/lower/upper/lower or total body 3x a week.

I think I'm gonna switch to a total body 3 times/week in a few weeks actually. I was doing an upper/lower/off/upper/lower/off/off split for a long time and I always felt worn out lifting 4 days hard/week. I made good gains hitting everything twice/week up until a year ago. It seemed that once I hit 27 I started feeling run down alot. Then I went to a bodypart split and after reading on here for awhile, I realized that that wasn't the way to go so I went to push/pull/legs. I'm gonna stick with this for a few more weeks then go to a total body 3 times week. I like lifting 3 days/week cuz it allows me to run on my off days which I really like. I'm not really looking to add anything right now. I'm 5'11" 190-195lbs and 10.5% BF. Just lookiing to give my body a bit of a break for the time being and maintain what I've got...

Looks fine to me. I don't prefer isolation stuff at low reps, but shrugs might be an exception. I think the soft tissues involved can handle fairly heavy loads with a shrug. Hell, you're going to be doing explosive shrugs with heavy weight when you do cleans anyway. Of course, there's nothing wrong with keeping the reps higher on just that one movement.

great! Thanks for all your help. I might just remove the shrugs and try some farmer's walks. Those always hit my traps better anyway it seems..
