First off you need to learn how to stand and how to punch. You will need a trainer for that.
I highly recommend all IronMagLabs supplements!

You could always buy some books on the subject and try to teach yourself. Obviously 3rd party feedback is best, but that would be better than nothing. Punching techinque is critical to ellicit all the power from a swing. Understanding how to transfer power from the ground up is key.

Look at youth programs in your area. You need to find the typical underfunded
old shoe string gym that smells of swet, piss and blood. Find a good trainer there and listen to him very closely as he can point out your strengths and weaknesses. And be prepared to work, if you think weights are heavy just wait till the 4th round of your first match and see how heavy your hands feel.
Good luck with the sweet science and protect yourself at all times.............................

I boxed for over a year, and my stance still needed a ton of work when all of my partners stopped boxing.
Stance is the most important part of moxing imo.

Same here bro. A gym is actually ready to open up by me too! The only reason I'm doing it is to get in top condition...

i think you mean you cant do both with high intensity. from personal experience i must disagree. over the last 3 months ive been doing both. ive leaned out, while gaining in mass and strength.

If you really are interested in boxing, drive to Foremanrules house. Knock on the door and when he answers, make a fist with both hands, stare at him real hard and call him a fucking pussy. You will learn the art of Boxing at that moment.....Hehe hehe

Some people can do both some can't. A person just trying to be fit can but a person trying to be a competitive boxer really can't....unless they cycle the training and have a long term plan. I look at it as I would any sport, every year you have training cycles, some are for strength and/or size, some for speed and/or endurance and some for pure skill of the game.

I don't know. But you make it sound like MMA fighters are pussies compared to boxers. You say you use to box or whatever, so why would you switch to Judo & wrestling?

Because a boxer who can utilize judo and grappling will take down a boxer who knows no other fighting style, heh.
