    Thumbs up

    "Open to abuse

But while there are valid medical and space applications for anti-wasting drugs, they will inevitably be tempting for athletes, Dr Goldberg said.

Experts warn that the although the drugs would maintain muscle size, they would not provide any of the other health benefits of regular exercise. "

Bugs me how they act like athletes trying to maintain muscle is a horrible evil thing. Doesn't sound to me like they are worried of the potential dangers but rather the potential idiots mis-using it.. Or depending on it like some do with ECA stacks and what not... but that goes for all supps. No true "athlete" is ever going to attempt to gain any ground physically with a drug exclusivley. Athletes understand exercise and how to supplement it.

Curious to see how it develops. Interesting article. Thanks!

I have a surgery coming up that I absolutely dread and worry about having to take a long leap of absence from the gym. If something like this works then it would be wonderful. Or if you had an injury or pulled something and needed to a take a nice break...not starting over when coming back!! This kind of tool could be invaluable...

Interesting article. Pretty cool what science can do. No doubt people will use this to achieve uber low body fat levels while minimizing muscle loss, but it certainly has some valid medical applications as well.

I sure hope this doesnt come about for the simple fact that I dont want everyone looking like me. I have worked hard to get where I am and I definitly dont want people to get the way I am by simply taking a pill.

I'm sure that wont happen - it seems to work on preventing atrophy rather than making gains - and besides its bounds to have horrible side effects, the 'easy way' always does!
