I don't even know what a good mile time is...I know the elite runners are around the 4 minute mark.

If I'm on a track right now I can do a mile in about 5:30 but I'm puking by the end of it. I can sustain under 7 mins a mile for 6.2 miles (10k).
Today I can do what others will not so that tomorrow I will do what others cannot.
The difference between winners and losers is that winners do things that losers don't want to do.
I usually do 8 minute miles when doing 10k races but hopefully will better that as i have only done 2....
Male, 38 years old, 5ft 11", 187lbs
Goals; 10k sub 46mins 10 mile sub 77 mins
half marathon sub 120 mins
About 9 and a quarter minutes per mile up to 3 miles (if it all goes well)
I'm 34 - when am I officially an old fart?
I hate running.
When I was fatter and less active at about 13-14, I did an 8 minute mile. I imagine I can top that by at least a minute or two right now, maybe more.
The only time it's bad to feel the burn is when you're peeing...

During cross country season...6 minutes easy.

Well not easy actually.
I don't run now, but when I did, 6 min. was my best. Beat everyone in my P.E. Class heh.
why would anyone want to run a mile?

I currently pace myself at 9-10 minute miles. I'm certainly out of practice however... I'd like to get down to 7 minutes or less. Long way to go...but hopefully I'll get there.

Do you guys/gals like to run outside or on a treadmill? I find it's more enjoyable and easier running outside... However, I do my running on a treadmill.
