    Workout while being sick

The title says it all, i've had some sort of viral infection, nothing serious, and i'm not 100 percent yet. I'm supposed to lift today, so what do you guys do, lift through it - or just take another day off?

Don't lift. I had to battle strept throat for a month along with pink-eye and both ears infected all because I wouldn't rest long enough to heal.
Everytime i started to feel better, iwould go lift which made the illness come right back full force.
Being sick for 3 or 4 days isn’t bad compared to how sick you might be if you keep pushing yourself.

Not only that, but don’t spread your illness to other athletes. That would be very rude. I didn;t consider that until later, but yeah I was a cock for going to the gym sick. I won't do it again.

Well for me I gage it based on how I feel. If I feel like working out I do. I will ususally back off on the intensity and maybe do fewer sets. If I do not feel like working out, then I rest.

Rest until you're fully healed, or think so. Then try cardio. If it goes well, you can lift the next day.

Personally, if the illness is just in my head (blocked nose, headache, etc etc) and not in my body then I still think its ok to workout, although I do decrease the intensity somewhat. If however my body is aching I take the day off and rest. Its personal preference though, listen to what your body tells you.

If im off work i stay away from the gym, i think that you should take a week off every so often so this gives a good reason not to go, the last time i was off work for a week i stayed away from the gym and it done me the world of good as i couldnt wait to get back...thats the gym not work...

I love to train when I'm sick, I usually do a harder workout those days and feel great after I'm done.
I highly recommend all IronMagLabs supplements!
