Question about squats
BODYBUILDING SUPPLEMENTS High Quality Supplements For Bodybuilders and Athletes. www.ironmaglabs.com I was in the gym earlier today doing my squats, I go down below parallel, a girl came up to me afterwards and said I was doing them wrong because my knees are bending too much while I squat. I can't really take an actual picture, but my typical squats are like this: http://www.building-muscle101.com/images/squat.jpg, granted, a moment later I saw her doing her squats and they were horrible quarter squats, she was telling me something her trainer told her. But it kind of made me wonder, isn't natural for the knees to bend a little more the further you go down?

Ok....I rarely take lower body work advice from anyone...as I consider "in the know" when it comes to proper form and execution....I teach it. But I definitely wouldn't listen to a girl using poor form....come on....common sense there buddy.
How else would you squat deep without bending your knees more?? Isn't that kind of the point of this exercise?? |
