    Sample routine

Can I get a sample bench press strength training routine. Just some ideas.

Not a Push day, I need this specifically for bench press strength, most likely will need to cut back on overhead pressing to save the shoulders.
My weak point is at the bottom, I think this is normal but it seems that people do board press/paritials to help thier weak points.

benchpress 3-4 sets for 3-5reps and also try forced reps or negs or get a spot and do a rep w/like 10lbs more than ur max.

If your weak point is at the bottom, it's your lats that are the problem. Work on rows, chins, and more rows.

Try some suspended bench presses. If you have access to a power cage, set the safety bars at a point where the barbell would be just above your chest. Start from the bottom position, press up, and lower the barbell back to the safety bar.

If you don't have access to a cage, try paused bench presses. Lower the back to your chest, STOP, and then press.

Nice, I was thinking about trying these never knew of a name for them.

I've decided to go to 5x5 strength program, the other thread got me interested. I need to change things up!
