    Lift specific training regimen

Curious as to how some of you vets would set up a program for three specific numbers I'm trying to hit... the exercises are a bit out of the ordinary:
    Pullups - 20
    Crunches - 100 in 120 seconds
    3 mile run - 24:00

I'm currently in the final weeks of a Bill Star 5x5 program, and I've held onto the usual program spec for spec except for the Wednesday squat workout.
I want to re-arrange my program temporarily to bring up my personal statistics on this exercises, but not sure how to approach it.

Currently, I'm doing pullups on M/W/F, working underhand/overhand/underhand respectively. Crunches approaching every other day, sometimes small workouts in my room. I've been trying to run only on off days, but I plan on working up to running 6 days a week.

I WANT to keep the original plan going, but my focus is these three lifts right now. Basically, I have been training to failure on all three exercises, pullups, crunches, and running.

If you were training these exercises to bring them to the best of your ability in a short amount of time, would you change the schedule?

I would hit legs with weights only once a week, and use the extra time to run. 3-4 times a week running, a long day once a week the other 2-3 just hit 3 miles and work on the pace. Pullups 2x a week only, abs EOD or 3x a week.
I highly recommend all IronMagLabs supplements!

How far off are you from hitting those numbers? It's hard to work strength and endurance without one suffering a bit. The Bill Starr is a strength program. The stuff you want to achieve is more muscle endurance. When you finish with your current program do a program based around mainly BW movements. Pushups, pull- ups, chin- ups, BW rows, pistols, handstand pushups, sit ups and run on your days off.

I think your right about the squats.. I wanted to finish strong, as I'm 6 weeks deep into the program, but it is somewhat unneccesary at the moment. I might try abs EOD... I'll definetly work up to it. Good advice.
You really think pullups just twice a week will suffice though? I'm at 10/11 pullups and I'm looking to quickly throw on a few reps in a madder of weeks...

    heh, it's pretty embarrasing:
    Pullups: 10 to 11
    Crunches: ~75-80 in two minutes
3 mile run: fucking slow, maybe like a half an hour

I can drop the entire program if it will yield quick results on my new attempts. I won't hesitate if you guys think thats the best way to go - I'm looking to bump up all these numbers at least 25 percent towards the main goal in a month's time
