    Eat for size.

No matter what you do in the gym, if you dont eat enough, you wont wont on weight. You cant make something out of nothing, you can only turn something into something else.

Get a good balanced training PROGRAM, dont design workouts. Read the sticky topics in this section for some great information on how to do that.

This is solid advice....adding to that...I don't really like pyramid or reverse pyramid schemes. With your exercises, pick a rep range and grab the weight that you can move for those reps all sets...this means the first set you might be able to do 1-2 more reps than desired...but the last set should be quite challenging to hit that magic number.

i think the best advice i can give is to try different schemes.........stick with pyramiding for a little while, if you don't see results stick with the same amount of weight like PWGriffin advised. what may work for someone else may not work with you. for me pyramiding works as opposed to PWGriffin. You should search out for a lot of information, which this site has to offer, have your questions answered by competent people (P-funk, compimp, Foreman, etc.) and PICK WHAT WORKS FOR YOU.
