    knee wraps

If sometimes I feel knee discomfort/pain when i go on treadmills, stuff liek that, is it beneficial to wear knee wraps when i do cardio. Because i just started to train for MMA, and in jiujitsu u spend a lot of tiem on u rknees and to jumping squats etc..

i would wear something like re-bans or some sort of wrap that increases localized heat. NOT squat wraps like people wear to squat in.

If you have knee problems get a Sports Doctor to check them out. Wraps and other crap is only a temporary solution and could/will make it worse.

yea, they are just compression shorts.

like the rehband knee wraps, they don't enhance your performance. they aren't tight like squatter briefs or squatter knee wraps. they just help to keep localized heat on your hips or knees to prevent from things like tendonitis.

Don't know. I have never used them.

I have some patellar tendonitis too.

These things don't cure tendonitis. They just give you localized heat. If you have a flare up, you need to get the inflamation down (ie rest, ice, etc) and then ofcourse make sure that you warm up properly and work on your flexibility. Tendonitis doesn't just happen. it happens for a reason. it is an overuse injury, which means you are doing somethign wrong...either you need to look at your training program or your flexibility and your warm up. If the inflamation goes down and your knee is back to normal, then throwing on the rehbands for your workout can help to keep that heat on the knee (the same heat you are trying to get by warming up).

Some guys say they really make them feel good. I have never used them so I can't comment on their validity.

When I put fresh Bio-Freeze on and slide the rehbands over it
I can do severals more sets of squats before inlflammation sets in

I wouldnt really say i ahve knee problems, (im only 17) but i just started longer hours at work (on my feet for 4-6 hrs) and recently started to do juijitsu. I think tehse 2 factors are causing knee discomfort. And I was wonderin if those rehband knee stuff will help with that. I guess I will try it out. I will also supplement with glucosamine ( i thinki thats what its called) and i've been taking MSM.
