    Questions about training/diet

    Hi everyone,

This is my first post here, so I apologize if I'm repeating a questions that's been asked a million times.
I've recently dropped about 40 lbs, and now I'm interested in burning off some more fat, and getting into shape.
I'm about 6'3" - 6'4" and 210 lbs. The scale at my gym says that I have 16.8% body fat. I don't know how accurate that is.

I should mention that I accomplished the weight loss through relatively radical diets, without exercising (aside from once or twice a week basketball). My diet consists of no breakfast, a salad with no dressing for lunch, some fruit ( a banana) between lunch and dinner and a regular dinner, with some kind of meat and vegetables.
On gym days I usually add some more food, such as a pack of oatmeal between lunch and dinner.

My training routine consists of the following:
    Mon - Basketball 2.5 hrs.
    Tue:
    bench press
    wide grip dips
    incline bench
    pec deck
    triceps exercises
    Wed:
    shoulder press
    side raises
    flys
    reverse pec deck
    Thu:
    back extensions
    pull-ups
    seated rows
    biceps exercises

I do 3x 10 reps of each exercise. I do about 20-25 mins of cardio (running at 5.5 mph) at the end of each workout. I don't work out legs or abs yet because of a nagging groin injury.

Any input will be appreciated. I'm mainly looking to burn off some more fat, and tone my body a little.

    Thanks everyone
    Drago

Yeah man your diet and training are a disaster, but I am sure you know that. There are stickies at the top of each forum, check out the training and nutrition stickies and then we can talk. Good luck.

Well done on your weight loss, I wonder how much of it was fat loss as apposed to MUSCLE.

You have gotta eat regularly and properly!!!

Missing meals and not eating enough in general are not going to work in the long term, you learn nothing and you will not gain muscle.

Not eating often and regular will cause great dips in your blood sugar levels which will bring on the cravings and most likely bring on the same patterns of eating that got you overweight in the first place.

You really need to learn the general healthy eating principles and stick with those for life.

    Good Luck

For your height - you should not be attempting to lose weight.
