looking for back muscle routines but...

hi, i've been looking for workouts that will work out the back and would also make it look very distinct. basically weird workouts to build weird muscles(that look good). I'm trying to search for such exercises but it looks like i don't even know where to begin. so if anyone knows of any place to start looking, or even know some workouts then please post! pictures of workout and muscle group would help a lot.

Most of the information you need.

Check out the nutrition section aswell, diet plays a giant role in everything.

As far as good back exercises go, you cant go wrong with rowing variations and chin/pull ups.

experimenting, and getting your technique down pat to really target the intended muscles will play a big part in the results as well.

haha, well i want to build a VERY distinct back. even if the muscles have no appearant use.
" What does THAT muscle do?"
    " Absolutely nothing."

I guess i'll start experimenting. what ever area is burning means i'm working that part out right?

I think a more proper question would be what muscles in the back DON'T do anything.

With weak back muscles you wouldnt be able to bench much, squat much, deadlift much......and the list goes on and on!

My two cents-While most everyone else is pounding out chins/pulldowns- become a "ROWAHOLIC", put as much pride and effort into BB rows as most put into their bench , vary the rep range and occasionally do 3's and 1's - I don't know if you'll feel "WEIRD" but I gaurantee you'll feel "PROUD" of what you will accomplish and how thick your entire back will be.
