    Have an injury, going nuts.

Okay, I have a problem with my knee during squats and the sports doc says I have to stay out of the gym for a half a month. GODDAMMIT!!!

Now that I got my wailing and temper tantrum out of the way as well as cleaned off my hands from punching and caving in the walls, who knows how long it takes before I start to "shrink" fom not working out? This is a stupid question and I know that it's purely psychological. How should I eat if I cant do anything but mend? High protein? Medium to low carbs (carb sensitive)? What kind of fats? Anything I can do to heal nutritionally? Vitamins, supps-besides glucosamine?

No, you're pretty much fucked and you'll lose a ton of mass in your legs. You could just as well quit actually.

QUIT? QUIT?! QUIT?!! NEVER!!!! I rather die than QUIT! Anyway, you have a good point. I havent taken a break in sixteen weeks, which probably accounted for a fucking injury anyway.

Well, for starters you need to quit whining

Seriously though, your not going to go out of proportion within two weeks, in the space of time your not going to gain any noticeable size in your upper body, nor are your legs going to shrink. You need to either:

Train your upper body hard to make up for that, concentrate all your strength into your upper body workouts.

    Or:

Just take the two weeks off all together and give your body a break, then at least you'll know that your not gonna grow out of proportion

Seriously though its nothing at all to be worried about. My first year of training (was a very foolish year for me) i didnt train my legs once, and im in good upper/lower body proportion now.

I'm with ya man. My hand is busted right now, has been for the last few weeks. I'm taking this time to shed some unwanted fat. For the first week I was stressed out, but I've lost 5 lbs over the past 3 weeks and and I'm under 200lbs for the first time in many years, so some good has come of it. I know that 1 month isn't gonna kill me, just use this time to re-evaluate your goals, maybe set some new ones and hit it like a madman when you get back!

Actually, i'm about to start training for a show in August. This is a huge one and I wanted everything to fall into place really neatly. Guess that went out the window. Anyway, I can use this time to reflect and relax. I do need to begin thinking about posing and all that other happy crappy. So fuck it, relaxation wins out. Still need to start greasing up the joints and want to find something to fend off surgery at all costs. I heard cissus is pretty good. Anyone have suggestions?

patella somethingor other...dont remember the exact name. Doc said if I'm not careful, I coud wind up with surgery. he said that the best course of action would be because I'm 6'2", to stop squats all together. I'm thinking of it. But damn, squats are like the beast in me.

patella femoral is a mal tracking patella. Fix the tracking problem and you will be fine.

Go to someone who is a specialist. Not a general doctor who is going to say "just stop lifting weights"

Unbelievable that some of you babies cry about missing 2 weeks.

By the way your Doc is an idiot if he really thinks you will be ok in 2 weeks, my guess is 4-6 and you are good to go.
