Well, for one, that statue is probably not a real person. However, people's muscle shapes haven't changed. The difference is that now the pros are way bigger because they have access to a wide variety of drugs and coaches with knowledge that those early bodybuilders didn't have.

Both the statues and the modern bodybuilders dont look natural, the 2nd statue doesnt have a well developed chest and i think the distended stomachs etc on modern bodybuilders is disgusting, I prefer the bodys in the days of Arnie and Lou Ferrigno.

Now, it's getting to the point of animation... like a cartoon.

What you have to keep in mind is the fact that these guys nowadays are much much larger than ten years ago. Ten years from now... it will get even more ridiculous. What are they acheiving, except an early grave?

I'm seeing ridiculously sized muscles, but not the "style" or "grace" of an Arnold. The bigger they get, it seems, the further away it is from the "ideal" that used to be inspirational. I'm unimpressed.
