    What is the limit then?????????????

i know this question has been asked before, but reading this post about bolton hitting 1000 lb deadlift REALLY makes me wonder. where is it going to stop? honestly? people say that it can always be broken and that is true but by how much and an estimate???

do you guys think it is possible to get to 1000 lb RAW bench?
    1500 lb raw squat
    1500 lb raw deadlift??

are these numbers too far off?? honestly, about where do you think it will stop or is there no way of knowing???

aside from gene altering that is.....

did he do that in a meet?

I don't think they will get any of those lifts raw. even the deadlift is done in a deadlift suit.

I dont see the bench ever happening raw, unless they can do better than hgh. I have always heard the deadlift suit didnt do much for ya. But 1500 pounds is still outa reach imo.

I've never heard of a deadlift suit. How does it work?

I do. It will take one hell of a massive man to do this. For the normal human tendons and things like that just wont hold up to do those kinds of wieghts.

I don't really see those number EVER happening raw unless we eventually get some type of amazing ability to genetically enhance athletes performance beyond tradition steroids...

The current world record for a RAW squat is 825lbs by a guy that's 21 years old, 6'2" and 300lbs.

That was pretty impressive stuff wasnt it! - I'm sure we'll hit the numbers one day - maybe not in our lifetimes - perhaps we should archive this site in some way to the lifters of 100 years time can look back and laugh at our numbers!
I'm 34 - when am I officially an old fart?

Nanobots... tiny robots (less than 100 nanometers). Inject them in your blood stream and they will make their way to your muscles, bones, tendons and make them physically much stronger. These numbers should be accomplished by non-lifters once this technology is fully mature. Most estimates are about 15-50 years (from people who know about this kind of thing).

In theory. In theory, we'll have flying cars in 50 years.

Actually, I don't think I've ever seen that suggested by anyone that seriously studies automotive trends. But yeah the technology exists to do that. It just doesn't make a lot of sense.

Here are some that I dug up... most deal with living forever and other biological things other than strength but it gives an idea about the amount of molecular and cellular control we are talking about
