Ross training anyone?
BODYBUILDING SUPPLEMENTS High Quality Supplements For Bodybuilders and Athletes. www.ironmaglabs.com I've seen some of his videos posted online here, on numerous occations. Mostly in Open Chat though. Has anybody ever used his training methods? I just ordered "Gymless", and I'm incredibly excited to get the book ASAP. Not too sure how I'm going to implement his workouts though.. I don't think I'm going to drop my routine completely, and rather supplement it with a bunch of his exercises. At least, for the moment. His functional lifts are amazing, and weight lifting really isn't necessary if you train like Ross.
So has anyone gave it a go? Rosstraining.com. Awesome site, even if you aren't looking to buy anything. Lots of free articles (many with videos) that give some cool training tips/ideas. The book I purchased was only 30 dollars shipped, which is absolutely affordable when talking about 250 pages of quality functional lifting. His other book I may look into afterwards, "Intensity". Right now though I'm looking forward to working on my overall core strength, speed, and bodyweight power. |

I train very much like him on my own system- A.B.1 Training Systems. I have read pretty much everything on his site a while back and really enjoyed it. He definitely has some great info there.

"Never Gymless" is quite the book. I enjoyed reading it, and constantly skim back to it for look over. Lots of great ideas and sample programs to give you a base to customize your own workout. Functionality is great... this kind of training you feel every day in every move you make. Balance, stability, endurance... these things change your lifestyle. Although benching 500 is awesome, and would be great to do, it doesn't have much impact on anything aside from the actual bench press. His training improves your overall body as a whole. I will most likely pick up "Intensity" by Ross Enamit in the coming months. Both books are fairly inexpensive as well, so if you can spare the change I'd so go for it! I recommend.

Yeah his site is great... he often posts up free info, such as free tips on exercises and such. An example would be how to do an burpee, AKA 8-count-bodybuilder. One of the few trainers out there that actually does his exact training. You constantly read of *the breakthrough* workout routine, formulated by scientists or whatever, which often just isn't revolutionary in the slightest. Ross Enamit tests each and every workout and uses them in his own training programs. I seemed to really like that, cause I often look away from published training info as there seems to often be an aura of bullshit around each and every one(except for GoPro's book, which is tried and true!).

I still say training with weight has it's place, but there are a lot of options with bodyweight. Also, from what I gather about his programs they look great for conditioning.
