I think I just made a new calf stretch

lie on your back on the floor, and bring your legs as close to your chest as possible with your knees locked, get a towel or something to wrap around the top of your foot (balls of your feet), and just pull down while keeping your knees locked, this is really fucking painful, if I pull hard I can only hold it for like 8 seconds before letting go.

my knees felt pretty good after this so I tried some box (low bench) squats, I was doing them with no problem, so I tried it out holding a 20lb dumbell in front of me, and they felt easy

I tried lying on my back with my legs at my chest while flexing my trunk, and the cat stretch, they didn't work for me.

thats the one when you are on your hands and knees right? no it didn't work, I also tried the standing variation, my abs are probably too weak to push hard enough to stretch it

[QUOTE=mike456;1504749] pull down while keeping your knees locked, this is really fucking painful, QUOTE]

i laughed pretty hard when i saw this

sounds like a good exercise, and as P-Funk stated, it apparantly gets the soleus. That's the muscle that has been giving me terrible cramps after I run, so I'm definetly gunna try this before I hit the rack tonight.

its a pretty common calf stretch. Focus, as previously stated, its more of a gastroc stretch, usually bent leg for soleus.

mike - i find it hard to feel any stretch in my erectors, and ive come up with one that i can at least feel. Stand with feet together, legs bent at knees, about 90deg for me. Reach both arms behind your knees, and with both hands grab the opposite elbow. Sit your locked together forearms behind your knees, and slowly straighten them. Your head will stay down near the knees as you try to straighten your legs.
