    wrist pain from heavy chins

i was doing triples for chins with a slightly less than shoulder width grip, and my left wrist hurts on the side closer to the pinky. what is it the cause? would wrist wraps help at all? also, would shortening/widening the grip be better or worse?

Try it with a wider grip and see if thats better. If not, perhaps lay off them for a little while.
