squats - 700x10
30 minute RI, drink liter of milk
squats - 800x10
30 minute RI, drink another liter
then 1000x10 quarter squats
Of course parts of it are probably just lore, but it is pretty funny. I guess he was one of the original strength freaks. Like a real freak.
yea, Anderson really did squat 1000lbs. He was a true genetic freak! There is a book about him. If you want a good book to read about training and about old school training, Super Squat by Randell Strossen is one of my fav's (it is on ironmind.com).

Someone cracked 1200 pounds not long ago, but it was wearing some serious gear. Even more recently, Sam Byrd cracked 1K at a bodyweight of 198 (Also wearing gear, but he also did 7xx raw)!
