    powerlifting videos

Here are a couple of cool videos from an IPF powerlifting meet(2003).
I found them while browsing through youtube.
Interesting to see all the different kind of lifting styles used.

Damn, those judges don't play around. They actually make you squat to depth, and they don't screw around on an even bench press lockout either!

Yeah. I just want to confirm, by world record, that is the world record for that particular federation. Atleast I think so.

That and for his weightclass I believe.

I thought the one dude squatting that lost the bar and fell was fucked, but his knees were just wrapped too tightly to get up.

Yeah seriously. I like seeing that though, the strict officiating. I hate seeing videos of judges who just give them the goodlift when it is pretty obvious they don't deserve it. It just reinforces their lifting behavior and what they can get away it.

    Yeah, that's right.

That was pretty scary. When I watched that the first time I felt nervous for him even before he started to descend. Some of those guys drop pretty fast, I cringed a little.

Oh, I definitely agree. The IPF is the real deal. They don't botch the judging from what I've seen, and they actually restrict equipment usage, only allowing what they feel helps protect the lifter.

That's the way powerlifting should be.

    Here's a video of .

lawl, I swear, this guy is like the powerlifting version of Chris Farley. I love his prep before he lifts.

His thighs and calfs are fucking thick. This guy has incredible strength. I here he is pretty young, anyone know how old he is?

Nice vids Fufu. Those judges are strict. There were at least a couple of lifts I was surprised they did not allow.
