    Bad Knees

I workout with an older guy and he has terrible knees. Squats are out of the question along with lunges. What kind of a leg workout would you guys go with for my old buddy? (Hes only 38), . But he has arthritis and things of that nature and has had some surgury on em.

I was thinking it would have to be with some light weights?

He also refs basketball games 4-5 nights a week so his knees take a beating then as well. I am not real familiar with this, I just dont want to suggest something to him and do worse for him rather than better.

    Thanks fellers.....

You have to play around and see what doesn't cause him pain. He's had his knees examined by an orthopedist, correct?

Thats what I told him. I think he has had surgery on his knees before. Arthritis is defiinitly there. Hes not your average 38 year old. Hes got all the ambition and dedication of yours truely.
