    DAY OFF - Need help

My friends seem to not understand the importance of taking days off, they workout 7 days a week. Can someone tell me in convincing manner how to tell them the wrongness of their actions?

You can only advise them. If you workout right and take the right amount of rest, you'll still be improving long after they burn out and stop seeing results. Thats the most convincing proof you can give anybody.

    direct them to this site?

explain the concept that they are putting strain on their body, and that the body needs time to recover and supercompensate before the next bout to be effective.

get talking to some big guys in the gym and find the ones that train 2-3-4 times a week and get the to talk to your mates.

    personal trainer.

ask them if they really want to get bigger. if the answer is yes, then are they prepared to find out how to get bigger. if answer is yes, tell them to go do said research so they can learn for themselves.

i did 3 sessions with a footy player trying to bulk up, made him stay out of the gym, only come in 3 times per week. the guy exploded, 4kg in 3wks.

I suggest you work on your program and not to worry about the "others" program. It is not your tasking in life to babysit folks. They will see the errors on their ways when you are advancing past them in your training program.

You'll overtrain(most likely) and your gains will slow down or stop, or even reverse. If they are still getting gains without taking time off it will hard to convince them, but whatever works for them works for them. I have no idea what their programs looks like.

I know not you but you can tell them that.

I hate exercise, I love training.
