    Should I do cardio...daily...or weekly.

    Hello,
IM gonna start off by telling you guys my workout history a little.

I quit working out about last june cause i had to move in a new place, and i was getting used to the place and all so basically i was lazy and didnt find/went to a gym for about 4 months. Now this october i started off again, this time im more dedicated and I learned a lot of mistakes i made from my last workouts. I made a nice cutting diet for 2 weeks and i lost almost no muscle during this period. My waist got a little smaller, my stamina increased and I was feeling better with myself...cause over those 4 months I had gained a belly.

Now, a few days ago, i set a bulking diet. help on bulking diet.
thats my diet and i adjust it around and stuff so basically im good with the diet. Now my question is....

I have weak/almost no muscle at my abdominal area and its part of what im focused to this time. I noticed my belly getting...a little bigger again now that Im bulking, but I also noticed big gains of strength. My dad recently bought a treadmill at home and apart the fact that i run for 5mins(slow->fast) in the gym before workout for warm up; should I run at home for about 30mins a day?. I mean a day can be rough, then every second day maybe? Im just afraid of getting another belly, Im trying to focus on lean muscle..

Im bulking until Feb-March, then cutting down for summer then bulking again. What do you guys think I should do.
I'll post here a couple of my pictures and you can judge if u'd like.

    shit i wrote lots.

You could just decrease your caloric excess a little bit. Doing some cardio would help though.

What's your lifting regimen look like?

I lift 3 days a week and do some form of conditioning work another 3 days a week.

my workout is the P/RR/S (no custom changes).
Normall, in my lifting, I do my first set Light (not too light), second set really hard and if i have anotehr set i make it even tougher. I have also been taking my workouts really serious and its doing me good.

I lift mon, tues, thurs,(fridays i wnat to but i have to work..maybe occasionally at lunch i do some tricep workout cause i only got like 15mins). And the rest days are OFF.

I've noticed better gains by eliminating almost all of my cardio. I have it set up for one day a week, and don't always do that. I've still managed to put on very little body fat too.

Screw cardio. Eat right and lift.

    1) watch your diet.

    2) don't serve two masters.....If you want to bulk up and put on size, then you need to eliminate excess caloric expenditure (ie, lower your cardio). If you want to get lean then you need to increase caloric expenditure. Try and do both at the same time and you end up not making gains in either direction.

P-Funk, your second saying, I want lean muscle, I hate fat, no more then i have. Once again, Im gonna be bulking up until feb-march, then lean cut to work on the abs.

So what about this? One week I will do cardio about 4-5times , and one week i will do no cardio (Except for my warm up)..so i can gain size as well.

I am totally against NOT doing cardio! WTF!!! Just don't go overboard and you will be fine. OMG, 15-30mins of cardio burn's what at the most 500cals. Is it hard to get that amount from food???

I'm NOT saying that this is a good example, but, I am proving it certainly can be done. I used to do 30mins-1hr cardio before I did weights at the gym 1yr ago when I was 16 and I put mass on like nobody's bussiness. Infact I made better gains then, than I do know! BALANCE IT!!! Diet+Weights+Cardio+Good sleeping/liestyle habits=Superior Conditioning!!!
Cow Pimp - If you don't train your legs you're a dumbfuck. I'm not going to elaborate on why. If it isn't obvious to you, then you deserve the marginal results that you get and hideously unbalanced/injury prone physique that you will build.

you can't just gain lean muscle. You will always have some fat gain. The goal is to minimize it.

Alternating weeks of cardio isn't going to help you much IMO.

The goal is in your diet. Try adn something cyclical.....where you are rotating calories adn carbs. That seems to be the best way to move your body from an anabolic period (overfeeding) to a period of lower calories (cutting period).

I think doing at least a little bit of cardio is a good idea if you also value your health.

Maybe I should add some back. I did notice I generally felt better when I was doing more cardio.

I don't think anyone should drop if out completely....I just think you should reduce the amount when you are trying to gain weight.

Of course, Thats what i meant. Without that fat why would there be a point in cutting.

I don't think anyone should drop if out completely....I just think you should reduce the amount when you are trying to gain weight.
Then i'll just do about 2 30mins cardio session per week. Just to stay healthier and in shape.
