Can someone who knows what they are doing (unlike me) give me just a sort of rundown of what you do for your cardio workout.

By the way, I am also concerned with maintaining muscle mass while still losing body fat.

Thanks!

I'm not promising it's what you're after - infact - what the hell are you after? There's cardio and there's cardio!

Usually either steady state (approx 70-80% effort, usually greater than 30 mins and less than 45 mins, usually as a form of recovery from heavy workouts the previous day), interval training (50%,100%,50%,100%, and so on, usually greater than 10 mins and less than 15 mins), or a circuit (80-90% effort, greater than 15 mins and usually less than 30 mins)

Stair climbing, skipping, rowing, sprints, hill sprints, cycling, body weight exercises, kick boxing, boxing, judo.

I throw it in on rest days from lifting and in 5 min bursts directly before and after lifting.

The end.

I'm cutting right now, so i alternate between HIT cardio and just plain old fashioned jogging.

I find that if I vary things between baksetball, some jogging for 45 min, and HIT cardio, I do not ever get bored of Cardio.

Monday: Basketball (1hour)

Tuesday: Lift

Wed: HIT Cardo (30 min)

Thur: Lift

Friday: Basketball (1 hour) or Jogging (45 min)

Saturday: Lift

Sunday: Off day.
