well... to me it seems that those who lift/run/care about their bodies seem to have some of the most amazing bp numbers...
i just got into "body building"/health about a year ago for the most part i do calesthenics, but believe it or not ive cut my body fat and even started building muscle... im not huge... but a year ago i wieghed 175 and had about 25%bf no i weigh 165 and im at about 6% i flex in front of a mirror every day... i love flexing my diaphram and watching my veins swell... i try not to take it too far... but honestly.. i have about the best BP right now, of anyone i think ive ever seen |

Lifting raises your blood pressure during the activity, particularly if using the Valsalva maneuver. Anyone who suggest weight training chronically elevates your blood pressure is just spewing hearsay.
