    I like number 2 and 4.

Far to many guys say they cant squat because of their knees

And I have seen alot of guys say, "I can bench press 300". And watch them do it and it looks like the spotter is having a harder time with it then him.

Well I think theres a time and place for people to use pulldowns. And this place would be if theres no dip belt present. Other than that, yes I think pullups and chins should be in place of pulldowns.

I still say pulldowns are fine for variety sake. Nonetheless, I rarely use anything but pull/chinup variations in my own programs and any client's program who is capable of doing them.

I don't ever use them actually...for myself or for clients that can do pull ups. The only people I have do pull downs are woman or men who can't do a pull up yet. I always opt for the pull ups though.

I agree 110% on the not holding onto the stairmill and the treadmill. That used to drive me friggin' nuts!

Not to be a dick, but I remember you logging pulldowns in your journal.

I have done them before.....But, I don't think you could find it in the past 6 months. I just don't do them. And when did do them, it was maybe one workout and then not again, and there was probably a reason that I was doing them....like my hand was fucked up or something. But, other then that.....I don't use them.

Ah I see. Well, to be fair I remember you saying you hated doing them.

I used to like pulldowns, but I stopped doing them and focused more on pull up strength...because I wanted to get better at them.

I started doing pulldowns unilaterally and I really like them like that.

Good article. I like the squat depth part. In fact, I was just thinking today how I could manage a good arguement with someone the next time they told me squatting as deep as I do is bad for the knees.

I think the picture of the baby squatting was hilarious.

Not only should we all be able to squat that deep we should also be able to just hang out like that- sitting in chairs all day is not helping us with our ankle flexibility.

True story. I hate sitting. I always forget about my posture. I was actually thinking earlier today how I wished there was some sort of device that could support you standing. Strange...

Yes but then I would have to put my computer set up in a very bad position for my room. The chair is more functional at this point.

forget about ankle flexibility. it's our hamstring flexibility that suffers the most.

Kinda says it all doesn't it? In it's earliest form before chairs, that's how people sat, for hours. Still a popular form in Asia.

Notice her arse ain't on the ground. I wish I could go that low

Without squatting ability, it would be hard to use one of these in Asia:

Well I'm gonna have to disagree with #2. While I just re-introduced squats to my routine, I'm in extreme pain even when doing a bodyweight squat, actually more than with weight on my back. I'm sure there are alot of people that just use that as an excuse not to do squats, but I love doing squats, they just hurt me alot.

what hurts you? you either must be doing them wrong, or you have some tight muscles that you need to stretch... or did you injure yourself some how? explain..
ps I don't know why but every time you post with that avatar I think you are Kelju

the article... I agree with all of it, but it was kind of stupid, because I didnt learn anything from it, but I guess that wasn't the point of the article...
